Abstract

This study aims to investigate the efforts of Islamic Studies teacher in disciplining students at SMPN 2 Satu Atap of Sungai Mandau District, Siak Regency. The signs of the problems that are often encountered among students at SMPN 2 Satu Atap such as the students often come late to school so that they are late for lessons, the students do not do the school assignments given by the teacher, the students dress untidy and look messy when they come to school, the students often do not come to school without permission, and the students walk around in class when the teacher is explaining the lesson in front of the class. The benefit of this study is to provide input and add insight into what efforts should be made to improve student discipline and be able to apply them in everyday life. The method of the study is the descriptive qualitative method. The informant of the study is an Islamic Studies teacher at SMPN 2 Satu Atap of Sungai Mandau district, Siak Regency. The results of the study show that the Islamic Studies teacher applies the applicable rules and regulations and provides freedom to students.
