Abstract
A sprayer is a tool/machine that functions to break down a liquid, solution or suspension into liquid droplets (droplets) or sprays. A sprayer is a pesticide applicator that is very necessary in the context of eradicating and controlling pests and plant diseases. A sprayer is also defined as a pesticide applicator that is indispensable in the eradication and control of plant pests and diseases. There are 3 types of sprayers for agricultural purposes, namely knapsack sprayers, motor sprayers and electric sprayers. The working system of the spray machine itself is to spray pesticides through the nozzle on the spray stick. The nozzle itself has various types ranging from 1 hole to 8 holes, what distinguishes it is the spray that comes out, the more holes, the larger the area that can be reached. The nozzle is one part of the sprayer which determines the characteristics of the spray such as dispensing, spraying angle, closing width, spray pattern, and the resulting spread pattern. Nozzles are made in various designs. Each specific type of liquid droplets is produced by a unique nozzle according to the needs. The best nozzle used for spraying can be seen from the flow rate, area of spraying and percentage of spray coverage. The 3-hole nozzle is the best with a flow rate of 1.692 L/m, an area of 39.26 cm2 and has the highest percentage value with a value of 50.1%. The 3-hole nozzle has the highest spraying percentage value of 50.1% and the 8hole nozzle has the smallest spraying percentage value of 35.6%.
