Abstract

The area of agricultural land in Indonesia is around 13 million hectares. Based on information from the 2013 Agricultural Research and Development Agency, typical weed attack on rural land is around 30-40% per hectare, so weed control is what is needed, one of which is chemical weed control. Chemical control is to provide selective chemical compounds that inhibit and kill weed growth by using a sprayer. The spray tool used is a modified tool that uses a double pump water jet engine with battery power. Then tests were carried out on the sprayer to find out how the voltage variation affects volume, flow rate and spray application volume in one hectare and battery life. The voltage used is 3 volts, 6 volts, 9 volts and the maximum voltage is 11.7 volts. This test has several results for variations in voltage to flow rate, volume of spraying application as well as battery life and the best voltage used for spraying seen from the volume of spraying application, time required for spraying and battery performance is 9.03 volts with a value of spraying application volume 79 liters with a spray time of 90 minutes and a battery performance value of 1.8 hours
