Abstract

Parking is a transportation need where the vehicle stops temporarily or for a long time, then the driver leaves the vehicle because every trip by vehicle always starts and ends in a parking lot. We see many parking lots, such as on the side of the road, in buildings, or shopping centers. , and the field area provided. The parking relationship that arises between the parking user and the manager is in the form of a goods custody agreement. In this research, the author discusses 2 (two) problem formulations, namely what are the responsibilities of the parking manager of PT. Yabisa Sukses Mandiri for damage and loss of consumer vehicles in public roadside parking lots in the city of Pekanbaru and how to resolve disputes if there is a loss to the consumer. The research method used in this research is observation research using a survey, while the nature of this research is descriptive. The population in this study used an accidental sampling technique and the data collection tools used were interviews and questionnaires. The research results concluded that the responsibility of the parking manager if there is loss or damage to vehicles in the PT area. Yabisa Sukses Mandiri, namely the parking manager, only helps find and provide information to the authorities, the parking manager does not provide vehicle replacements because it refers to the standard clauses on the parking fee sign. So far this has not been implemented so that many motorized vehicles in public parking lots have disappeared. Even though this is the responsibility of the parking manager, moreover the parking manager asks for a fee for parking services. For motorized vehicles, which are not available, especially in public parking, consumer protection has not been implemented so far.
