Abstract

Learning discipline was an activity that involves obedience and compliance with written and unwritten rules in the process of changing students' behavior, which was crucial and contributes to the success of students in the learning process. The research problem in this study explained how Islamic education teachers' strategies in improving student learning discipline at Islamic Plus Elementary School YLPI Pekanbaru. This research aims to determine the strategies of Islamic education teachers in improving student learning discipline, using a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study was Islamic education teachers, while the object of the study was the strategies of Islamic education teachers in improving student learning discipline. The type of research used qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, and documentation. Descriptive analysis in this study involves data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the research results, it could be concluded that there were two strategies used by Islamic education teachers to improve student learning discipline through rewards and punishments.
