Abstract

Cars are a means of transportation that is widely used by people, both for personal activities and for business activities. However, for some people, the need to have a vehicle, especially a car, is felt to be very heavy, buying a car is felt to be very expensive. Because of this, many people or business actors set up car rental businesses that can help someone or people who do not have a car to be able to enjoy these facilities. The problem that occurs in the actions of renters against vehicle renters in Bukit Raya District Consumers who use rental cars who accidentally damage the renter's car in Bukit Raya District determine compensation that is not in accordance with the damage and the owner of the vehicle rental in Bukit Raya District also commits a breach of contract when they have made an agreement which asks for more costs from consumers The main problem in this study is How is the legal protection for renters of four-wheeled vehicles at CV. Virgo with renters of vehicles in Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. What are the obstacles for CV. Virgo in obtaining legal protection for four-wheeled vehicles with renters in Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City? The type of research used is sociological empirical legal research where the type of legal research is carried out directly through interviews or questionnaires. The data for this study were obtained through an interview process with the Owner of CV.Virgo Rent in Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru and 8 Consumers of CV.Virgo Rent in Bukit Raya District.
