Abstract
The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of self-confidence on students’ outcomes in learning Islamic Studies at SMPN 1 Singingi Hilir. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. The population and sample of the study consist of 63 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques of the study are validity test, reliability test, normality test, hypothesis test, and simple linear regression test. The results of the study show that there is a significant influence of Self-Confidence (X) on learning outcomes (Y) at SMPN 1 Singingi Hilir. This is in accordance with the ANOVA results which state that if the significant value is less than 0.05, namely 0.024 < 0.05, it means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on the coefficient value (R) of 0.284 (28.4%), it means that the self-confidence variable influences the students’ outcomes in learning Islamic Studies by 28.4% which is in the good category. The results of the coefficient of determination (R-squared) is 0.081 (08.1%). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the self-confidence (X) on the learning outcomes (Y).
