Abstract
This research was motivated by the problem about lack of students’ learning motivation in fiqh subject at Islamic Junior High School Baserah. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of teacher’s professional competence on students’ learning motivation in fiqh subject at Islamic Junior High School Baserah. This research was quantitative with correlational approach. This research involved all population and sample in 79 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis used validity test, reliability rest, and simple linear regression test. Research finding described that there was any significant influence between teacher’s professional competence (X) on students’ learning motivation (Y) at Islamic Junior High School Baserah. It was suitable with coefficient result that stated if significant score was smaller than 0.05 where 0.000 < 0.05 which meant Ha was accepted. Based on coefficient score ( R ) in 0.595 (59.5%) described that teacher’s professional competence influenced on students’ learning motivation in Fiqh subject at Islamic Junior High School Baserah in 59.5% in good category. Summary coefficient counted result in coefficient score (R square) in 0.353 (35.3%). Furthermore, it could be concluded that there was any influence between teacher’s professional competence (X) on students’ learning motivation (Y).
