Abstract
ABSTRAK Domestic violence is a private problem because it involves nuclear families living together accompanied by problems that violate the law. Domestic violence perpetrated by husbands is a common thing, but what happens if it is done by a wife against her husband is of course an extraordinary thing, and the article used is the Criminal Code, not the PKDRT Law. Domestic violence committed by the wife as the perpetrator does not rule out the possibility of receiving the impact or consequences of punishment if the woman is the perpetrator of the violence with the provisions of the Domestic Violence Law in articles 44, article 45, article 46, article 47, article 48, and article 49 or seen from For the elements of abuse that occur in criminal acts of domestic violence in Pekanbaru, the first thing you have to look at is a picture of the results of research on the number of domestic violence incidents that have been reported to the Pekanbaru City Resort Police (Polresta) over the last 5 years. In the research that the author conducted, the problem was determined regarding the factors causing criminal acts of domestic violence committed by wives against husbands in the jurisdiction of the Pekanbaru Police, criminologically, as well as the efforts made by the Pekanbaru Police regarding criminal acts of domestic violence committed by wives against husbands. When viewed from the type of research, this writing uses an observational research method, namely using a survey, in which the author goes directly to the research location to obtain the necessary data using data collection tools in the form of interviews. The nature of this research provides a clear and detailed picture. Factors causing criminal acts of domestic violence committed by wives against husbands are the husband's lack of income to fulfill the family economy; gender inequality, mental and emotional problems, parenting patterns, ignorance of the rights and obligations of husband and wife, and infidelity. Meanwhile, the efforts made by wives towards husbands, including preventive handling efforts and repressive handling efforts. Keywords: .
