Abstract

Facebook is one of the social media owned by the Meta Platforms Company. Facebook can be a place for buying and selling agreements. Facebook provides a feature in the form of a marketplace that is useful for users to carry out transactions in the form of buying and selling. Before the Marketplace, buying and selling took place through groups on Facebook. Researchers conducted research regarding sales and purchase agreements for used electronic goods through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling (PJBO) Facebook group. Used electronic goods consist of cellphones, computers, laptops, etc. Sale and purchase agreements via the Facebook group Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling (PJBO) often result in discrepancies in the information provided according to the facts in the sale and purchase agreement. The researchers formulated several problem formulations consisting of: First, how to carry out buying and selling transactions for used electronic goods through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling Facebook group (PJBO). Second, how to implement the settlement of defaults in sales and purchase agreements through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling (PJBO) Facebook group. The research that the researcher used in the thesis research used an empirical legal research method with primary data from interviews with parties who had made sales and purchase agreements through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling (PJBO) Facebook group. Data collection tools, observation, interviews, photo documentation. Analyze data qualitatively and draw inductive conclusions. Regarding the results of the research and discussion that the researcher found: First, regarding the implementation of buying and selling transactions for used electronic goods through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling Facebook group (PJBO), the seller only needs to promote the object or goods through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling Facebook group (PJBO) and wait for the party buyers who are interested in objects or goods being bought and sold. Second, regarding the implementation of default resolution in online sales and purchase agreements through the Pekanbaru Online Buying and Selling (PJBO) Facebook group, default resolution is through negotiations between the two parties entering into the sale and purchase agreement based on the principle of good faith carried out by the seller and buyer.
