Abstract

This research was motivated by the presence of several students with different religious beliefs, ethnic backgrounds, and cultures, as well as some students who felt that their opinions or understanding were always correct and disregarded the opinions of others as if those opinions were wrong. The research questions in this study were as follows: 1) what were the attitudes of Islamic education teachers regarding the values of religious moderation at Elementary School 08 Lubuk Dalam? 2) What efforts did the Islamic education teachers at Elementary School 08 Lubuk Dalam make to internalize the values of religious moderation? The objectives of this research were: 1) to understand the attitudes of Islamic education teachers regarding the values of religious moderation at Elementary School 08 Lubuk Dalam in Siak Regency. 2) To understand the efforts made by teachers to internalize the values of religious moderation in Islamic religious education at Elementary School 08 Lubuk Dalam in Siak Regency. The approach used in this study was a case study approach with qualitative research. The main informant was the Islamic education teacher, Juliyanti S. Pd, and the supporting informant was the school principal, Saiman, S.Pd.,SD. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The data processing and analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study revealed several efforts made by Islamic Religious Education teachers to internalize the values of religious moderation among students, including: the delivery of materials in the classroom, advice, role modeling, discipline, and social concern.
