Abstract

Students’ Perception On The Use Of Google Classroom As An Alternative Media At Third Semester English Department Of UIR Keywords: Students’ Perception, Google classroom, Alternative media Google classroom is a part of strategy that uses technology to facilitate in the learning process. Google classroom be an alternative media when the teachers are busy during class hours. Google classroom one solution to complete the teaching learning process. The aimed of this research to know the opinion of third semester students of English Language Education of UIR about the using Google classroom as an alternative media. This research used the qualitative method in order to describe the students perception using Google Classroom as an alternative media. The participant of research were 60 students of third semester students in English Language Education Department of UIR. The research instruments of this research using questionnaire to obtaining the data. The research findings of this research showed that most of students “Strongly Agree” about using Google classroom as an alternative media. The researcher found that 86.34% of students “Strongly Agree” that Google classroom the important digital technology in learning activities. Then, 80.15% of students “Strongly Agree” that Google classroom give them experience. The last, the researcher found 79.36% of students “Agree” that Google classroom has the benefit in learning English. Google classroom application help students in the process of online teaching and learning. Google classroom as an alternative media can help lecturer delivered material quickly, easily, and more interesting in virtual situations.
