Abstract
Quizizz is a game based web that can be used as assessment tool in teaching and learning process. Since there are two factors that influence students’ motivation, internal factor which includes something that comes within the student self, such as students’ talent and interest and external factors which related to learning tool and material. Quizizz plays an important role to the external factors of students’ motivation as assessment tool. This research aims to analyze and investigate the students’ perception of Quizizz application as assessment tool of the second semester student FKIP-UIR. This research was designed with quantitative descriptive method and chose the second semester A class English students FKIP-UIR as the population. The data were collected using questionnaire through Google Form as the instrument. The questionnaire consists of 20 statements with 3 indicators that the researcher modify and adapted from Barus and Soedewo (2014) using the interpretation of Likert Scale. The result showed positive perception of Quizizz application as assessment tool. The researcher suggests and highly recommend Quizizz Application to be applied as an assessment tool in Basic English Grammar teaching and learning process. The researcher also affirmed that Quizizz Application can be the ideal choice for learning media since it provides a lot of advantages for the students. As the percentage showed very positive perception of the students, it is indicated by the proven data result that Quizizz application is an effective tool to be used in assessing students’ learning in Basic English Grammar.
