Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the contribution that occurs in arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination to the accuracy of passing under volleyball among students at SMPN 5 Singing Hilir. This type of research is correlation research with the population and the sample in this research is students at SMPN 5 Singingi Downstream numbered 18 people. The data collection instruments used in this research were an arm muscle strength test, a hand-eye coordination test, and a bottom passing ability test in volleyball. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the conclusions in this study are: (1) There is a contribution of arm muscle strength to the results of down passing for students at SMPN 5 Singing Hilir with a contribution amount of 12%. (2) There is a contribution of hand-eye coordination to the results of lower passing for SMPN 5 Singing Hilir students with a contribution amount of 1%. (3) There is a contribution of arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination to the results of volleyball underpassing for students at SMPN 5 Singing Hilir with a contribution amount of 18.98%.
