Abstract
As we know the use of hydroelectric power plants (PLTA) has been so widespread both among the community and in industries both small, medium and large scale, the main form of this type of power plant is a generator connected to a turbine driven by a generator. kinetic energy of water. For this reason, in the utilization of natural resources, especially water, reliable experts are needed to ensure the implementation of more optimal utilization of natural resources, especially water. The Pelton turbine utilizes a nozzle as a regulator of the direction of water flow to drive the turbine blade rotation. In this study, I used the experimental method of varying the shape of the blade, bowl blade, mithel blade, cylindrical blade, curved blade, flat blade, and tested performance using a Pelton turbine. From the results of the study it was found that the performance test and analysis carried out showed that there was an influence on variations in the shape of the blades on the performance of the Pelton turbine, the best was found in variations in the shape of the flat blades with the resulting torque value of 1.31 Nm, the resulting angular velocity value of 72.53 rad. /s, while the value of the turbine power produced is 95.01 watts, the value of the turbine hydraulic power produced is 359 watts, the turbine efficiency value is 26.46%, in testing the variation of the Pelton turbine blade shape, the best Pelton turbine performance results are variations in the flat blade shape compared to the shape of the turbine blade. another spoon.
