Abstract
This research aims to find out whether there is a contribution between the explosive power of the arm muscles and the flexibility of the wrists on the results of volleyball smashes for students at Taruna Satria Pekanbaru Vocational School. The population in this study used a total sampling technique, meaning that the entire population was sampled in this study, 14 people. This type of research is Correlation. The test instrument uses the Push Up, Wrist Flexibility and Smash tests, then the data is processed using a correlation test. Based on the research results proven by data analysis using correlation, the researcher can conclude that there is no significant contribution between the explosive power of the arm muscles and Smash, with a value of rcount (0.497) < rtable (0.532), with a KD value of 24.69%, there is no contribution which means Wrist Flexibility and Smash with a value of rcount (0.326) < rtable (0.532) and a KD value of 10.65%, and there is no contribution to arm muscle strength and leg muscle strength to Volleyball Smash for Extracurricular Students at Taruna Satria Vocational School Pekanbaru with rcount value (0.574) < rtable (0.532) and KD value 32.94%.
