Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of meaning relations in editorial media Indonesia. Editorial is the editorial opinion regarding the actual issues of the day before or that day. The purpose of this research is to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude the relationship of deep meaning Media Indonesia editorial. The theory used in this research is Chaer (2014), Wijana & Rohmadi (2017), and Djajasudarma (2012). That approach used is a qualitative approach. The type of research used is literature review. The method used in this study is the method of analysis content (content analysis). The data collection technique used is engineering hermeneutics and documentation techniques. The validity technique used is theory triangulation. The results of the research from the analysis of meaning relations in editorial media Indonesia is a synonym there are 8 data such as the word 'engagement‘ and ?participation'. Antonym there are 10 data such as the words 'quantity' and 'quality'. Polysemy has 2 data such as the word 'road'. Homonymy there are 2 data like the word 'at'. Hiponymy has 22 data such as the word 'vehicle'. ambiguity there are 19 data consisting of lexical ambiguity there are 6 data such as the word 'will' and grammatical ambiguity 13 data such as the phrase 'bite the finger'. Redundancy exists 23 data such as the use of excessive elements, namely the word 'para' in something sentence. Sequentially the elements of meaning relations from the highest to the lowest found namely redundancy, hyponymy, ambiguity, antonyms, synonyms and yang The lowest are polysemy and homonymy. Thus, the results of this study shows that Media Indonesia has words and sentences that are related meaning that makes the sentence firm and interesting.
