Abstract
The use of electrical energy is increasing every year along with the development of technology and the increasing population. Fossil fuels are one of the primary energy sources for electricity generation in Indonesia, where the availability of these fuel supplies are increasingly running low. One effort to overcome this problem is to use alternative energy sources that can utilize as a source of electrical energy, namely solar energy. Solar energy is an energy source with considerable potential in Indonesia. The potential is 4.80 kWh/m2/day. With such a significant energy potential, solar energy can become electrical energy by using a system called a solar power plant (PLTS) which functions so that this system can meet the existing electrical energy in the load. This study aims to determine whether the installed solar power plant can meet the electrical energy needs of the pineapple peeler and how long the battery can use to meet load requirements. This research uses a solar power plant integrated with a pineapple peeler. Based on the results of the tests have that carry out, the average input power (Pin) is 1068.74 W, the fill factor (FF) is 0.885718, the average output power (Pout) is 149.08 W, the average efficiency (?) is 14.11%, the battery charging time is 11 hours. The battery can store electrical energy needs in the pineapple peeler machine is 7 hours, and the average output power (Pout) of the inverter is 140.66 W.
