Abstract

Organic waste is waste that comes from the remains of organisms that easily decompose naturally without human intervention. In general, people prefer to store or chop dry leaves with a tuning fork to make compost so as not to cause air pollution. From this problem, the right solution is to design technology that can help the community. Technology development basically aims to facilitate work and the need for equipment efficiency, both existing and those that will be designed. Therefore the technology designed is a dry leaf crusher. After conducting tests using an AC motor with 1 HP power with a rotational speed of 900 Rpm with a blade distance of 1 cm, the production is 23 kg/hour. at a distance of 6 cm where every hour produces 27 kg/hour. From these three tests it can be concluded that the smaller the distance between the blades, the smaller the resulting production capacity.
