Abstract

Children are part of the generation that will continue the ideals and also be the hope of the nation and state. The role of parents is very influential in the development that occurs in children. Factors that influence social life have a big influence on various factors, namely regarding the handling of children. Looking at developments in Indonesia, it is very necessary to see the situation in the Netherlands regarding the punishment of children as the country that is the background for the formation of law in Indonesia. In the thesis entitled "Tackling Violence Perpetrated by Minors in the Bukit Raya Police Area", there are two main problems, namely: What Form of Legal Countermeasures Are Given to Minors in Criminal Cases of Theft with Violence in the Legal Area of the Bukit Police Station Raya and the types of obstacles faced and efforts to deal with children who have problems with the law in cases of theft with violence in the legal area of the Bukit Raya Police, Pekanbaru. This research uses sociological legal research methods, with empirical research sources to find theories regarding the process of occurrence and the process by which laws apply in society, as well as studying the influence of society on law. The results of research on law enforcement, police officers, show that the factors causing the crime of theft, the perpetrators of which are none other than children, with violence, occur due to economic factors which become problems in their families, which are then supported by social factors outside and around their environment. In dealing with criminal acts, based on the regulations in Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System and the Crime of Theft with Violence Committed by Minors according to Article 365 of the Criminal Code, the Bukit Raya Police Department is able to appeal, build communication and work together. with community members in dealing with the crime phenomenon that occurs.
