Abstract
This research aims to develop and test the validity and practicality of learning media in the form of Flipcharts regarding Living Creatures and their Environment for class X SMK Pekanbaru. This development research uses a 4D (four D) model. The subjects of this research were students in class The data obtained in the development of learning media is in the form of a Flipchart by validating it by material expert validators, learning experts, media experts and class The results of the research state that the Flipchart media that has been developed is very valid with validation results by material experts with an average percentage of 100% with a very valid category, learning experts with an average percentage of 98% with a very valid category, media experts with an average percentage of 93.33. % in the very valid category and three teachers with an average percentage of 95.10% in the very valid category. The learning media in the form of Flipcharts that was developed was also stated to be very practical with an average practicality value of 94.58% and was in the very practical category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development of biology learning media in the form of Flipcharts is declared valid and practical so that it can increase students' mastery of the material and activeness in the learning process.
