Abstract
This study aims to describe students' creative thinking abilities in learning mathematics in terms of the attitudes of Grade VIII students of SMPN 4 Siak Hulu. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques used are in the form of written tests and questionnaire techniques. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely: (1) data collection; (2) data reduction; (3) Presentation of data, and (4) Drawing conclusions. In this study focused on 4 aspects, namely: (1) Fluency; (2) Flexibility; (3) Originality; (4) Elaboration (elaboration). The results of this study indicate that the ability to think creatively in class VIII students with an average percentage of 63.75% is included in the creative category. While the attitude of class VIII students with an average percentage of 73.10% is in the good category. The creative thinking ability of students in the very good attitude category is 65.18% in the creative. The creative thinking ability of students in the good attitude category is 63.19% in the creative. Overall, the creative thinking abilities of students who have very good and good attitudes are creative.
