Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) learning model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods and with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study was all grade IX students of SMP Negeri 3 Tapung, with a sample of 32 grade IX A students and 32 grade IX B students selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using test techniques, observation techniques and documentation techniques. After the study, the average data data of the ability to understand metamatic concepts was then analyzed using a t-test. The results showed that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students after learning to use the SSCS model in the sense of experiencing an increase. Based on the results of data analysis, the average value of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts is above KKM and students can solve problems appropriately in accordance with the indicators of the ability to understand mathematical concepts and obtained the result that ??????? = 1,683 > ?????? = 1,669. So it can be concluded that SSCS learning can have an influence on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. So that the Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) learning model can be an alternative learning model to improve students' ability to understand metamatic concepts.
