Abstract
Expressive speech acts on the TikTok account @Shabrialula&Ayah aim to explore and elaborate on expressive speech acts on the TikTok account ShabiraAlula&Ayah. This study uses a qualitative approach. The technique of collecting data from this study is by means of note-taking techniques and listening techniques. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative analysis to determine expressive speech acts by Shabira Alula Adnan. The steps of data analysis are (1) Transcribing Shabira Alula Adnan's speech data, (2) identifying the type and context of speech. (3) interpreting the interpretation related to the classification of speech which is the object of study (4) taking an inventory of all findings, (5) presenting arguments on the data that has been inventoried according to the object of study (6) drawing conclusions. The source of the speech data for this study were all of Shabira Alula Adnan's utterances on the TikTok account @Shabiraalula&Ayah, from January 1 to April 4, 2023 posts. The results of this study revealed four types of speech acts, namely expressive speech acts of criticizing, expressive speech acts of praising, speech acts expressive blame and expressive speech act of complaining. The research shows that there are many expressive speech acts criticizing speakers compared to expressive speech acts praising, expressive speech acts blaming and expressive speech acts complaining.
