Abstract
This research is motivated by the social interactions contained in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia. This novel shows forms of social interaction, such as relationships between two or more people in social life. Research problems (1) What is the associative form of social interaction in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia? (2) What is the dissociative form of social interaction in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia? This research aims to analyze, describe and explain the forms of social interaction contained in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The type of research used is library research. The data from this research are texts or quotations in the form of dialogue, monologue and forms of social interaction contained in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia. The data source for this research is the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia. The data collection technique used in this research is reading and understanding the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia, marking the forms of social interaction in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia, data inventory, namely recording the parts contained in the forms of social interaction in the novel Romance of the City of Bandung by Kezia Olivia. The novel Romansa Kota Bandung is a work of classification of data contained in the novel Romansa Kota Bandung by Kezia Olivia, namely forms of social interaction. The results of this research found 118 data. Associative or positive forms of social interaction were found in 42 pieces of data consisting of cooperation, accommodation and assimilation, one of which was the character Kamila and her friend who communicated by telling Kamila that they hope we can work together well. Meanwhile, 76 pieces of dissociative or negative form of social interaction were found in data consisting of competition, contravention, and conflict or conflict, one of which occurred between the characters Akash and Kito who communicated by saying harsh words, threatening and even committing acts of violence.
