Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills in Advanced Indonesian Textbooks Proficiency in Indonesian Language and Literature High School Class XI. One of the skills student needed is Higher Order Thinking Skills. This study aims to determine and explain the content of Higher Order Thinking Skills in the textbook Advanced Indonesian Proficiency in Indonesian Language and Literature High School grade XI. The research method used is a descriptive method of content analysis with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are documentation, record, write, conclude. Data analysis techniques identify, classify, analyze, interpret, infer. The results showed that HOTS content activities / exercises were found 43% with the HOTS category in the analyzing section (C4) found mostly in the description text in the evaluating section (C5) found in the poetry text in the creating section (C6) found mostly in poetry texts, while LOTS was found by 57% in cognitive aspects of remembering (C1), many found in news texts, in the understanding section (C2), many found in description texts Based on these results, it can be explained that the content of HOTS is lower in the book Indonesian Advanced Proficiency in Indonesian Language and Literature High School grade XI.
