Abstract

The Effect of Learning Motivation on Learning Outcomes of Indonesia Language Students In Class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Tualang. This research is motivated by the fact that some students lack motivation to learn drama material and students' enthusiasm for participating in Indonesian language learning, especially learning drama material, is still low. This is proven by the phenomenon that researchers have conducted. The problem in this research is how does learning motivation influence the Indonesian language learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Tualang? The aim of this research is to determine the influence of learning motivation on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Tualang. The theory used in this research is the motivation theory put forward by Sardiman (2012). The approach used in this research is quantitative research with correlation methods. The population of this research was 95 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Tualang. The sample used was saturated sampling, that is, the entire population was sampled, namely 95 people. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire technique using a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test. The results of the data processing found in the research, namely the results of data analysis of learning motivation on students' learning outcomes in Indonesian drama material, obtained a large level of influence of motivation on the results of learning Indonesian drama material, namely 0.052 or 5.2% and obtained r = 0.228, with the obtained df = 93, then tcount = 2.263 > ttable = 1.661 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that there is a significant influence between learning motivation on the results of learning Indonesian drama material. The interpretation is that as an effort to improve student learning outcomes in drama material, it is necessary to increase student learning motivation in drama material.
