Abstract
The implementation of Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 Concerning Employee Discipline is the focus of study in this study due to disciplinary violations by civil servants in Class IIA Pekanbaru Correctional Institutions based on data for 2019-2021, so with this phenomenon the author is interested in doing this writing in the form of a work scientific thesis. This study aims to examine and analyze the Implementation of Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 Concerning Civil Servant Discipline in Class II A Correctional Institutions in Pekanbaru and the Stages of the Process of Imposing Disciplinary Sanctions Against Civil Servants Who Commit Violations in Class II A Correctional Institutions in Pekanbaru. This study uses normative juridical and empirical juridical research methods, using data obtained from laws and regulations and interviews related to the implementation of Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Discipline for Civil Servants in Class IIA Penitentiary in Pekanbaru. The results of the study: First, the imposition of disciplinary punishment against civil servants, especially in the Pekanbaru Class IIA Penitentiary based on Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010, where 13 civil servants were sentenced to light disciplinary punishment in the form of verbal warnings, written warnings and written statements of dissatisfaction. Meanwhile, 9 civil servants were sentenced to moderate sentences in the form of a periodical salary delay for 1 (one) year. Meanwhile, 5 civil servants were given severe disciplinary punishment in the form of demotion to a lower level for 3 years. Second, the mechanism or sequence of the process for imposing disciplinary punishment for employees at the Pekanbaru Class IIA Penitentiary consists of summoning employees, examining employees, issuing minutes of examinations and reports on examination results, determining decisions on imposing disciplinary penalties, enforcing and documenting decisions on imposing disciplinary penalties and submitting attempts. Administrative. The series of activities starting from the summons to the Decision on Imposing Disciplinary Punishment was determined.
