Abstract

In the life of nation and state, children are the next generation who have an important role, but there is one phenomenon that makes researchers interested in researching, namely, the issue of exploitation of children as drug couriers. Exploitation is a form of effort or activity carriedout on an object, be it natural resources or others, for the benefit 9fulfillment of needs) of rare. This research uses a qualitative descriptive apporoach by conducting interviews with Key Informants and Informants. The results showed that the factors for the exploitation of children as drug couries were caused by economic foctors. In this study researchers used choice theory. Rasional choice theory acts to take action on individuals based on certain goals. Of course, in the cases stidied by researchers, this theory is certainly related because father(perpetrator) with his rasional decision made his son (victim) a courier for the drug trade in order to get money.
