Abstract

Drug dependence is a condition where physical and psychological dependence has occurred, so that the body requires an increasing number of drugs, if the use is reduced or stopped, withdrawal symptoms will appear. Under certain conditions, these sufferers really need medical assistance, such as rehabilitation in a hospital. If this situation is not handled properly, it will end in death resulting in suicide, accidents, poisoning, overdose, hepatitis, heart defects, lung disorders, severe mental disorders and others. The purpose of this study is to find out the Handsome Mental Hospital's Prevention Strategy in Overcoming Drug Patients Who Don't Adherence to Treatment. The method used in this study is a qualitative method because the approach through this method is different from the quantitative method approach. The conclusion of this study is that the effort given by the hospital through primary prevention is in the form of detoxing drug addicts so that they can recover, besides that they also provide patient treatment schedules for families so that they are obedient and scheduled for treatment. Prevention is in the form of providing education to the families of drug patients to avoid similar behavior. Tertiary prevention in the form of establishing cooperation in supervising former rehabilitation.
