Abstract

The efforts of the Lukun Village Educational Pondok Community in overcoming juvenile delinquency in Lukun Village, Tebing Tinggi Timur District, Meranti Islands Regency are described in this study. The peculiarities of juvenile delinquency that occur are caused by a form of social neglect so that the behavior of adolescents in general will deviate and self-destruct and interfere with individual safety in their current state. Through the theory of social ties which are characterized by attachment, commitment, involvement, and belief in the prevention efforts being made, this research uses a qualitative approach. The findings show that Lukun Village Education Center engages youth in activities that enrich their free time. Well-directed youth activities can also strengthen the emotional bond between parents and their children's playmates. With love and care, strong youth will increase their commitment to achieving their goals. Adolescents who have high responsibility from various endeavors that are carried out can make adolescents automatically comply with the standards and decisions that apply in the eyes of society.
