Abstract

Bullying behavior can be concluded as an action or deed that is carried out repeatedly, but in this context it is an act that can hurt someone or injure them with actions that are unpleasant and even harm the victim physically, psychologically and materially, which are carried out consciously and repeatedly, therefore the point the discussion of this research is the existence of bullying behavior in child fostered residents that occurs in the Special Development Institute for Children in the city of Pekanbaru. It was carried out using qualitative research methods with a total of eight informants which resulted in findings of bullying behavior including physical violence, verbal violence, theft of goods, the perpetrators were children who had dominating power, and in groups, while the victims were children who had no power, had no friends. , comes from outside the area, and is just serving his sentence. The results of this study were analyzed using routine activity theory, this bullying behavior occurs due to interactions between perpetrators and victims within the same scope, accompanied by victims who deserve to be targeted for bullying behavior, the victim's weakness, to the perpetrators who are motivated to do bullying.
