Pangarasa is a phenomenon of evil magic by using media magic potion sprinkled into food so that anyone who is consumed by the potion can become a victim. This phenomenon is quite disturbing for the community in the location where this study was conducted. This study aims to describe the existence of pangarasa crime as well as public reaction to the crime of magic . This study uses qualitative methods with phenomenological study approach. Furthermore used the theory of black magic and its symbolic interaction as his analysis knife. Whatever the conclusion in this study that the crime of pangarasa magic falls into the category of black magic used by the perpetrator for his own interests by mashing the lives of others as victims. Furthermore, it concerns the reaction of the community in terms of identifying the alleged perpetrators based on community beliefs related to hereditary relationships and other characteristics that are believed to be together. The impact of it as ever happened, gave birth to new problems in the form of discriminatory treatment and acts of violence from the community against those suspected of being the owner of black magic pangarasa.
