Abstract

One important aspect in selling goods or products with fast turnover is to control the inventory of raw materials. However, there are problems that often occur in controlling raw material inventories, such as shortages or excesses of raw materials, delivery delays, and lack of inventory control, which can lead to increased operational costs. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and evaluate the related issues regarding raw material inventory control, with Mr. Creampuff on Jalan Rajawali in Pekanbaru City as a case study. Mr. Creampuff is a culinary company that sells eclairs. The research method used is a case study by conducting interviews, observation, and document analysis to collect data. The data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis techniques and the ABC method analysis based on the Pareto principle. The study's results show that controlling the supply of raw materials at Mr. Creampuff still needs improvement. There is excess inventory, which can cause increased storage costs. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the inventory control and the raw material inventory control system at Mr. Creampuff in Pekanbaru City
