Besides that, the same information will be better if checked again from different sources. Selective behavior is very helpful in reducing feelings of anxiety that lead to the body's immune system during a pandemic. The subjects in this study were the JL. Clear Swamp Pekanbaru City. Based on the results of research and discussion conducted by the authors, it was concluded that during the Covid-19 pandemic, Instagram users may tend to choose information that is in accordance with their views or that supports preexisting beliefs and attitudes. This can result in an unequal or possibly inaccurate selection of information. Selective behavior in choosing information on Instagram social media can strengthen one's views and increase one's anxiety or indecision regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. Instagram users who are exposed to content that supports their worries and fears tend to find it more difficult to gain a balanced and objective perspective.
