Abstract

This study aims to analyze the product quality control process and the causes of damage to the chicken egg production process at the Breeding Farm, which was carried out at Pt. Indojaya Agrinusa which is engaged in the production of screen chicken eggs from chick in or DOC (day old chick). This type of research is descriptive. To obtain data by conducting interviews, observation and documentation as well as direct observation of the companies being studied. The research method used to analyze the quality control of layer chicken egg production is statistical quality control (SQC) in the form of check sheets, histograms, Pareto diagrams, and cause-and-effect diagrams (fishbone) which aim to find out or calculate how much damage has occurred and to collect data during the egg production process. Based on the results of data processing using histograms, pareto diagrams, and cause – effect diagrams (fishbone) there are five types of egg product defects with cracks, holes, pale, thin and broken. Quality control carried out by PT Indojaya Agrinusa has not been effective and has not been able to reduce defective products stably because every day there are still defective products with fluctuating numbers.
