Abstract

A person who commits a crime generally uses various methods to make it easier for him to do something he wants, in this type of fraud crime, one method is fraud on social media, because the method is easy and the risk is low. The Prosecutor's Office is an independent institution that has the authority to carry out prosecutions and executions. to the judge's decision. The main problem in this research is what is the role of the prosecutor at the Payakumbuh District Prosecutor's Office in carrying out his duties as executor in cases of information and electronic transactions carried out in the jurisdiction of the Payakumbuh District Court? What are the obstacles experienced by prosecutors at the Payakumbuh District Attorney's Office in carrying out their duties as executors in information and electronic transaction cases in the jurisdiction of the Payakumbuh District Court? The type and nature of research can be seen from this type of research using empirical legal research or sociological legal research which is research with a field study approach. The result of this research is that after the decision letter was received, the prosecutor had been appointed as the executor and immediately carried out the first stage, namely making an official report starting from the handover of the defendant, until the evidence was handed over to the victim or handed over to the state. And when carrying out his duties, the prosecutor as executor has no involvement with other parties, whether legal institutions or other legal entities. And if there is evidence, then the prosecutor as executor will collect or send the evidence to Rupbasan. Rupbasan is the only appropriate place for storing all confiscated objects that are needed as evidence in the judicial process, including items that are declared confiscated based on a judge's decision and these objects are prohibited from being used by anyone. And in its implementation there are no obstacles that occur, whether from its execution. as well as handing over evidence, because everything needed is present and complete.
