Abstract

The background to the problem in this research is that there is inequality in the implementation of work agreements between PT Indomarco Prismatama and employees, which is contrary to applicable regulations and legislation. Meanwhile, the formulation of the problem in this research is how to apply and implement the entry, rest, return and holiday hours for PT Indomarco Prismatama employees. According to Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Employment, what are the factors that hinder the implementation of a working hours system? in accordance with applicable regulations. This research is field research located at PT Indomarco Prismatama Jl. Tengku Bey 5 A Pekanbaru. The aim of this research is to find out more about the application and implementation of the work hours and holidays for PT Indomarco Prismatama employees and what factors hinder the implementation of a work system that complies with applicable laws and regulations. The methods used in collecting data were observation, interviews and literature study. The data sources used in this research are primary and secondary data which are then analyzed using qualitative analysis. The results of this research can be concluded that the implementation of the work agreement between PT Indomarco Prismatama in theory and practice is contradictory, namely in theory it has been regulated by a good work agreement which is in accordance with the applicable regulations contained in article 77 of Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Employment. However, the implementation in the field has not run optimally, such as working hours as in article 77 states that there are two options for working hours for workers/laborers, namely between 7 working hours or 8 working hours, but in reality what happens at PT Indomarco Prismatama is that workers or laborers work more than from the set time.
