Abstract

Travel transportation is a vehicle used to make it easier for people to carry out their activities. The problem in the travel service business is damage to goods belonging to service users. This causes losses to consumers. In practice, travel business actors do not provide compensation, and consumers do not ask for compensation due to consumers' lack of insight regarding Article 19 Paragraph 1 Number 8 of 1999 Consumer Protection which states that business actors are responsible for providing compensation for damage, pollution. , as a result of consuming goods, services are produced and traded. The problem of this research is how to carry out PT's responsibilities. Bonanza Ilham Makmur for damage to goods belonging to service users and what efforts PT can take. Bonanza Ilham Makmur in preventing damage to service users' property. Judging from its type, this research is empirical or sociological, namely research using surveys or visiting research locations to obtain information and data related to the author's research. Judging from its nature, this research is descriptive analytical, namely providing an overview of the gap between theory and facts in the field. The research results obtained were that the travel company PT. Bonanza Ilham Makmur is not responsible for damage to goods belonging to service users and has not complied with Article 19 Paragraph 1 Number 8 of 1999 Consumer Protection. The efforts made by PT. Bonanza Ilham Makmur in cases of loss of damage to goods is providing training to employees about handling goods carefully and avoiding excessive accumulation.
