Abstract

The “AFI” field is an oil and gas field that has been producing since 2010 – now, so that with years of production the flow rate has decreased and is not yet optimal, due to the separator pressure that needs to be sensitive to determine the optimal flow rate. In this study optimization of surface facilities was carried out, namely at the separator, where the separator pressure was varied to obtain optimal flow rates. The SMB and AM wells are located in the “AFI” field, where the two wells produce oil with the help of artificial lifts in the form of SRP for the SMB well and ESP for the AM well. The type of drive mechanism in the “AFI” field is a water drive, this is known through the MBAL software. Furthermore, the maximum flow rate value obtained in the SMB well is 820,397 STB/day, and the AM well is 786.82 STB/day, the maximum flow rate results from the two wells obtained through PROSPER. From the analysis of separator pressure sensitivity using GAP, at a separator pressure of 50 psi it shows the optimal level of fluid flow where the SMB well obtains 18.3 STB/day of oil, 210.9 STB/day of water, AM well 14.4 STB/day of oil, 405.6 STB/day of water, and finally at the separator obtain the value of 32.7 STB/day of oil, and 616.4 STB/day of water.
