Abstract
In the era of the rapid development of the internet, many companies provide internet services, one of which is PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang which provides CIC Home internet services. However, these internet access services are inseparable from obstacles and disruptions to internet access services. Disruption of internet access services has harmed customers and disrupted customers in accessing the internet because they do not get internet access services as desired. The main problem in this study is how the form of liability for consumers of CIC Home Internet by PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang for interruption of internet access services according to Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and what are the obstacles in the implementation of liability for consumers of CIC Home Internet by PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang in the event of interruption of internet access services. The method in this research is an empirical legal research method, namely research conducted by going directly to the field to obtain information and data through interviews and questionnaires. While the nature of the research is descriptive-analytical, namely this research presents a clear, detailed, and systematic description of the problems to be studied. The results are that the form of liability provided by PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang is in the form of contractual and product liability, by providing compensation in the form of a free subscription the following month and replacement of Wi-Fi devices if damage is found on the device. Obstacles in the implementation of liability can come from PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang, namely the high demands from customers regarding the problems they experience, and obstacles from CIC Home internet customers, namely the lack of awareness and knowledge regarding their rights as consumers.
