Abstract

The high water cut in well N-1 which has reached 99% at intervals of 1184 ft – 1192 ft and 1217 - 1227 ft has caused a significant decrease in production in well N-1. To overcome the problems that occur in the N-1 well, it is necessary to plan and analyze the work of isolating high water content (high water cut) by means of squeeze cementing and reperforation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the success of squeeze cementing using cement bond log (CBL) and variable density log (VDL), determine the perforation interval and compare the production rates of oil and water cut after squeeze cementing. Well N-1 will be closed by doing squeeze cementing at a depth of 1080 ft - 1292 ft. After the squeeze work is done, reperforation will be carried out at intervals obtained from the results of log and swab data analysis. After the squeeze cementing and reperforation work was carried out, it was seen that the number of sacks of cement used in well N-1 was 96 sacks. Assessment of CBL and VDL data after dominant squeeze cementing has good bonding value but is not optimal because there are still bad bonding intervals which cause less perfect cementing. From the results of log GR and RST analysis, the intervals to be perforated are 1080 ft – 1084 ft, 1162 ft – 1168 ft, and 1173 ft – 1177 ft. Oil production performance in well N-1 has increased flow rate and decreased water cut , the production rate increased by 24 bbl/day and the water cut decreased by 4.76% compared to before the squeeze cementing and reperforation work was carried out.
