Abstract
AESTHETICS OF TRADITIONAL BRIDAL CLOTHING FOR MALAY WOMEN IN DURI CITY, BENGKALIS REGENCY, RIAU PROVINCE UMMU AFIFAH NPM: 196710904 Thesis of the Sendratasik Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Riau Islamic University. Supervisor Syefriani, S.Pd., M.Pd ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the aesthetics of traditional bridal clothing for Malay women in Duri City, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that examines art and beauty and human responses to them. Aesthetics is part of philosophy or beauty. The problem in this research is the aesthetics of traditional bridal clothing for Malay women in Duri City, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The theory that researchers use is the aesthetic theory by Djelantik. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis, with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in the research are observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. The results of this research conclude that the beauty of traditional Malay women's bridal clothing can be seen from the shape and structure, weight or content seen in the atmosphere, ideas and appearance that can be seen from the bride who wears the clothing.
