Abstract

This research is motivated by the ineffectiveness of the law enforcement process carried out by the Investigators of the Minas Sector Police in the case of the Criminal Act of Obscenity committed by a minor. In practice, there are still law enforcers who do not apply the right to justice for children for several reasons. In practice, the process of investigating criminal acts committed by minors is still considered not optimal and not as expected. Therefore, a research was carried out which aims to determine law enforcement against criminal acts of obscenity committed by minors and obstacles in law enforcement of criminal acts of obscenity committed by minors in the Minas Sector Police. The formulation of the problem in this study is how is law enforcement against criminal acts of obscenity committed by minors in the legal area of the Minas Police Sector and what are the obstacles in law enforcement against criminal acts of obscenity committed by minors in the jurisdiction of the Minas Police . The author chooses the type of empirical research by going directly to the field to obtain primary data and secondary data. In collecting data, the author interviewed several respondents, namely: Minas Police Investigators, Lawyers from the Children's Legal Aid Institute, as well as perpetrators of criminal acts of sexual abuse committed by minors. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that law enforcement by the Minas Sector Police has not been effective, implementation in the field is still experiencing problems, both for officers and their environment. In response to this, the Minas Sector Police have only made repressive efforts to prevent criminal acts of sexual abuse committed by children. underage in the Minas Police area.
