Abstract
The purpose of this researchis to find out what factors influence theinterest in becoming a teacher in class 2019 students of FKIPIslamic Universityof Riau . The population in this study was carried out to students of class 2019FKIP Islamic University of Riau, totaling 769 students, consisting of 9 studyprograms and a sample of 265 using a proportional random sampling technique.Themethodusedisexpost-factor,datacollectiontechniquesusingquestionnaires, observation and documentation. The analysis technique used isfactor analysis. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that internal andexternal factors can influence students' interest in becoming teachers. The resultsof this study show that the KMO result is 0.796 and a significance result of 0.000forinternalfactor variablesanda KMOresultof 0.649anda significanceresultof for external factor variables. The dominant factor of the internal factorvariable isthe conationfactor andthe dominant factor of the external factorvariable is the social environment factor. Thus the two variables are feasible tocarryout factoranalysis.
