Abstract

Analysis of Soybean Supply in Indonesia. Guidance of Mr. Heriyanto, SP., M.Sc. Soybean is a strategic commodity in Indonesia because soybean is one of the important food crops in Indonesia after rice and corn. This commodity is getting more attention from the government in national food policy. This study aims to analyze (1). Development of soybean supply in Indonesia. (2) Dominant factors influencing soybean supply in Indonesia. (3) Soybean Supply Elasticity in Indonesia. This study uses a literature study that examines data from related agencies. The type of data used in this research is time series data. The data used in this research is secondary data. Data were analyzed using growth rate calculations, multiple linear regression, Ordinary Least square (OLS) estimation methods and Elasticity analysis. The results of the study illustrate that the significant factors influencing soybean supply in Indonesia are soybean prices, corn prices, TSP fertilizer prices, previous year's soybean supply. The F test has a significant effect on soybean supply. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.9567. This means that it is able to explain the dependent variable of soybean supply of 95.67% and the remaining 4.33% is explained by other variables not included in the model. Soybean prices, corn prices, agricultural sector wages on soybean supply are elastic because the value of the elasticity coefficient is greater than 1 and this means that in the short and long term changes in soybean prices, corn prices and agricultural sector wages affect changes in soybean supply.
