Abstract

This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of feather sensit leaf extract (C. hirta) in inhibiting the growth of A. salmonicida, E. ictaluri and E. tarda bacteria and determine the best extract concentration in inhibiting these bacteria. The method used is an experimental method using Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 2 repeats, namely P1 (concentration 5%), P2 (concentration 10%), P3 (concentration 15%), P4 (concentration 20%) and P5 (concentration 25%). The results showed that feather sensit leaf extract contains antibacterial compounds, namely flavonoids, saponins, steroids / terpenoids and phenolics. The most effective or the best inhibitory zone is at a concentration of 25%, with concentrations between 15%-25% included in the category of very strong inhibitory zones, concentrations of 5% and 10% including the strong category.
