Abstract
Marketing Analysis of Processed Rubber Materials (Bokar) in Pulau Kulur Village, Kuantan Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. Under Supervisor Dr. Ir. Ujang Paman Ismail, M. Agr. Rubber is a plantation commodity that plays a strategic role as livelyhood of the villagers as well a non-oil and gas export commodity and a source of foreign exchange. This study aims to analyze: 1) Characteristics of farmers and people's bokar traders in Pulau Kulur Village, Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, 2) Marketing institutions, marketing channels, and marketing functions in Pulau Kulur Village, Kuantan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, 3) Marketing costs, marketing margins, marketing profits, marketing efficiency, and farmer's share in Pulau Kulur Village, Kuan tan Hilir Seberang District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research was conducted using a survey method on rubber marketing in Pulau Kulur Village. This research was conducted for 6 months, starting from February to July 2022. The number of the farmers in Pulau Kulur Village was 20 people. The results showed that: 1) The average age of rubber farmers is 40.85 years, the education level of farmers was an average of 8.1 years, the experience of farmers was an average of 12.2 years and the average number of farmer families is 3.4 years. While the age of traders in Bokar marketing was an average of 35.57 years, the average trader's educational level was 10.71 years, the average trader's business experience was 5.86 years and the number of family was an average of 3 .00 years, 2) The marketing institutions involved in Pulau Kulur Village where farmers, collectors, wholesalers, and factories. The channels bokar marketing had two channels. The bokar marketing functions for farmers are sales, storage, risk-bearing and market information, while the marketing functions that are passed by collectors and wholesalers whare buying, selling, transporting, storing, risk-bearing, financing and market information, 3) Selling price of farmers at marketing channel I, namely Rp. 8,500, while the total marketing costs whare Rp. 497.34, with a marketing margin of Rp. 2,750, a profit of Rp. 2,252.66, farmer's share of 75.56% and marketing efficiency of 0.04%. While the selling price of farmers to wholesalers on the second channel whare Rp. 9,500, marketing margin of Rp.1,750 marketing profit of Rp. 1,514.11, farmer's share of 84.44% and marketing efficiency of 0.02%. Among the two most efficient marketing channels, namely channel II, because it had the smallest efficient value.
