Abstract

Analysis Agroindustry of Citronella Oil in Tanjung Rhu Village, Limapuluh Subdistrict, Pekanbaru City (Case Study on Oil-Friendly Household Business). Under the Guidance of Mrs. Sisca Vaulina, SP, MP. Citronella oil is processed oil from the citronella plant which has business opportunities and is profitable. This study aims to analyze: 1). Characteristics of entrepreneurs and employees as well as the business profile of citronella oil agroindustry Mesra Oil, 2). Procurement of production inputs, use of production inputs, production technology, costs, production, income, efficiency, BEP, and added value of Mesra Oil's citronella oil agroindustry and 3). Marketing of Mesra Oil citronella oil. The research method is a case study method in Tanjung Rhu Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from January 2022 to June 2022. Respondents in this study were entrepreneurs, and two employees. The data used in this study were sourced from primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively, value added analysis using the Hayami method. The results showed that respondents in Mesra Oil's citronella oil agroindustry were in the category of productive age, 11 years of education, most of them had experience and relatively small number of dependents. Mesra Oil's citronella oil business has been running for 3 years, is a home industry, private business capital is Rp. 164,610,000 and has a workforce of 2 people. Mesra Oil's citronella oil production process includes weighing, refining, cooling, separating, and packaging. The amount of raw materials is 40 Kg/production process, the use of supporting materials in one production process consists of 37.50 liters of water, 8 Kg of firewood, and 0.25 liters of diesel oil. Fixed costs of Rp.48.873.84/production process and variable costs of Rp.114.083.33/production process. Total production 36 liters/production process. Gross income is Rp.360.000,00/production process and net income is Rp.197.042.83/production process. BEP price is Rp. 4,526.59 and BEP unit is 16.30. Mesra Oil's citronella oil agroindustry efficiency is Rp.2,21/production process. RCR > 1. The added value obtained from Mesra Oil's citronella oil agroindustry is Rp. 4,316.67/Kg per production process with a value added ratio of 47.96%. The margin obtained is Rp. 8,500 with a ratio of 8.47% labor income, 49.22% contribution from other inputs and 42.31% company profit in one production process. The marketing agency in Mesra Oil's citronella oil business involves intermediaries, namely collectors. There are marketing channels 2. The marketing function of Mesra Oil's citronella oil to entrepreneurs is from selling, processing, risk-taking, storing, and providing market information. Marketing costs are Rp. 5,500.00/liter and Rp. 2,500.00/liter for channels I and II. Marketing costs include packaging costs and transportation costs. The marketing margin is Rp. 7,000.00/liter and Rp. 2,500,00/liter for channels I and II. Profit margin is Rp. 1,500.00/liter for channel I. Marketing efficiency for channel I and II is 0.55 (55%) and 0.25 (25%).
