Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer and NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 on the growth and production of upland rice plants. The research was carried out in the experimental plantation area of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 5 months starting from June to October 2022 using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 2 factors, namely the first factor was pineapple skin liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 15, 30 and 45 ml/ liters and the second factor was the dose of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 3.75, 7.50 and 11.25 g/plant, each treatment consisted of 3 replications to obtain 48 experimental units. In each experimental unit there were 16 clumps and 4 clumps were used as observation samples which were taken randomly to obtain 768 plant clumps. Parameters observed were: clump plant height, flowering age, number of tillers, harvesting age, number of productive tillers per clump, weight of dry milled grain, weight of 1000 grains of grain and grain production per plot. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% BNJ test. The results showed that the interaction of pineapple skin liquid organic fertilizer and Mutiara NPK 16:16:16 had an effect on the number of tillers, dry milled grain weight and grain production per plot with the best treatment being pineapple peel organic fertilizer 45 ml/liter and NPK Mutiara 16:16: 16 11.25 g/plant. The main effect of liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple peel is to affect all parameters of observation, the best treatment is the dose of liquid organic fertilizer of pineapple skin of 45 ml/liter while the main effect of NPK Mutiara 16:16:16 is to affect all parameters of observation where the best treatment is the dose of NPK Mutiara 16 :16:16 11.25 g/plant.
